Compass Montessori School is a Preschool through 12th grade Colorado charter school that was approved by the Jefferson County School Board on December 11, 1997 and opened in the fall of 1998. The parents who created Compass Montessori are committed to the Montessori philosophy because of the positive learning experience their children have had in Montessori schools. In keeping with this teaching philosophy, the school's campus (the Wheat Ridge Pre-K through 6th Grade campus is located at 10399 West 44th Avenue in Wheat Ridge and the Golden PreK through 12th Grade campus is located at 4441 Salvia Street in Golden) has ample space for indoor and outdoor education and play.

New 10k Course.

10k Course Details- Turn left out of parking lot, stay to right side of Grampsas Park
parking lot. Follow sidewalk through park, turn right between baseball fields. Stay
straight on narrow trail along drainage ditch, 25 yds out to Table Mountain Parkway.
Stay on left side of road all the way out to Mcintyre, there is a water station just short of McIntyre. Turn around at McIntyre and come back 1/2 mile to trail split. 10k turns right and heads north on trail along fence, cross over 50th, stay on Quaker Street to Fairmont Park. Loop around Fairmont Park 2 times (2nd water station), and come back on trial the same way. Turn left on Table Mountain Parkway and follow back out to McIntyre a second time. Turn around at McIntyre and back to where trail splits, this time head west following the 5k course. Trail will bring you to the finish! All courses finish the same way, be aware of runners that might be trying to pass.
